Slavinska Iryna
Born on October 8, 1987 in Kyiv. Journalist, presenter, translator, literary scholar, public figure, feminist.
Earned a master's degree at the Faculty of French Language of Kyiv National Linguistic University (Master's thesis titled "Intermedial Discource in the Novel by Irène Némirovsky "The Dogs and the Wolves"", academic supervisor — V. Fesenko). By occupation — philologist, teacher of world literature and foreign languages. Scholarship holder of Philéas Accueil program in 2008–2009 academic year.
In 2009–2011, was a teacher of modern Ukrainian literature and 19th–20th-century European literature at the Department of World Literature Theory and History at her alma mater.
In 2010, won a grant for the investigation of stealing and frauds at the Ukrainian art-market.
In 2010 and 2011, was a jury member of BBC Book of the Year Awards.

Journalism:
Since 2006, has been writing for various mass media. Since 2009, has been working as a literary reviewer at "Ukrainska Pravda" online newspaper. Since September 2010 — literary reviewer of "ШО" magazine.
Complier of an ABC-book of interviews with modern Ukrainian writers "33 Heroes of Ukrlit" ("Folio" publishing house, 2011).
Since 2011 — presenter of the "Ukrainian literary podcast", featuring modern Ukrainian writers reading fragments from works by their favorite (mostly Ukrainian) authors.
Since 2012, together with Vitalii Haidukevych has been hosting a program "The Word Game and Not Just That" ("Гра в слова і не тільки") on the TVi channel, and publishing opinion pieces in the Ukrainian version of "Elle" magazine.
Since 2013, has been the presenter of "The Aerial" ("Антена") program on the restored "Hromadske Radio".
May 2014 — the book "The Stories of Talented People" about 11 Ukrainian contemporaries inspiring the author.
Spring 2015 — the second book "The Stories of Talented People" about 11 outstanding Ukrainians ("Bright Star Publishing").
Translations:
The author of French translation of the project "Bohdan-Ihor Antonych: Forever" ("Богдан-Ігор Антонич: Назавжди") (band "Telniuk: Sestry").
Translated from French "L'orgasme et l'Occident: Une histoire du plaisir du xvie siècle à nos jours" ("Оргазм і Захід: історія задоволення від 16 століття до наших днів") by Robert Muchembled ("Tempora", 2011) and the collection of essays "The Spirit Doping" ("Допінґ духу") by Emil Cioran. The latter translation won the special award from the jury of the "Skovoroda" Award in 2012.
2015 — translation of "N'esperez pas vous debarrasser des livres" ("Не сподівайтеся позбутися книжок") by Umberto Eco and Jean-Claude Carrière ("Vydavnytstvo Staroho Leva"). For this translation, Iryna won the "Skovoroda" Award.
