Pavlo Matyusha

A poet, novelist, translator, and financier

He was born on July, 21 in Rivne. Alumnus of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with PhD in translation studies and HEC Paris with MBA in Strategy.

He started his career in inter-parliamentary diplomacy and human rights. In 2016, he moved to France to study at HEC Paris Business School, specializing in business strategy and social business. He was involved in social projects in Cameroon and France; then he worked in consulting in Paris.

Since returning to Kyiv in early 2019, he has managed a strategic department in an international company. Active participant in numerous festivals and literary events in Ukraine and abroad.

His poems, novels, and essays have been translated into several languages. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion in 2022, he voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a combat training officer in the 47th brigade. After his dismissal from the army in the autumn 2023, he initiated and began developing anti-mine boots due to the significant losses among the personnel caused by russia's massive use of anti-personnel landmines.
