
Koval Oleksandra
Director of the Ukrainian Book Institute, president of the "Publishers’ Forum" NGO (1995–2018), co-founder of the Ukrainian Association of Book Publishers and Booksellers, the Ukrainian Association of Reading.
Oleksandra was born in Lviv and graduated from the Ukrainian National Forestry University in Lviv. In 1990–1992, she was a deputy editor-in-chief at Lviv Publishing House "Feniks". In 1992–1997, she chaired the Taras Shevchenko "Prosvita" Society.
Since 1994, she has organized the Lviv Publishers’ Forum. Within its framework, a number of events have been held: Lviv Children’s Book Fair "Publishers’ Forum for Children", International literary festival, all-Ukrainian children’s reading competition "Bookmania", charity event "Gift Books to Children!", Kyiv Book Fair "Kyiv Publishers’ Forum" (2005–2006, 2008) and more.

Oleksandra is the author of numerous articles and essays on reading, book publishing and book distribution.
