Kharchenko Kseniya

Writer, editor, translator, copywriter, cultural manager

Born in 1984 in Kyiv. In 2007 she received a master's degree with honors from the Institute of Journalism of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

Has worked in television, at the Docudays UA International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival, the GOGOLFEST International Multidisciplinary Festival of Contemporary Art, the Polish Institute in Kyiv, and Yakaboo Publishing.

The first novel, History, was named the best publication of Suchasnist magazine in 2005, and in 2006 it was published as a separate book by Calvaria. Author of artistic and journalistic texts included in collections and anthologies and published in Polish, German, Czech, Finnish, and published in periodicals.

Participant of the scholarship programs Homines Urbani (2007, Krakow, Poland), Gaude Polonia (2012, Wroclaw, Poland), as well as Lahti International Writer's Reunion (2009, Helsinki-Lahti, Finland), Kurzstipendien Residency Program (2008, Graz, Austria), a residency program at the International House of Writers and Translators (2014, Ventspils, Latvia).
