Tymoshenko Liudmila
Born in 1978 in Derzhavinsk, Northern Kazakhstan.
Graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (2000). Defended her PhD dissertation in Philosophy (2004) and her Doctoral dissertation in Political Science (2013). Taught political science and sociology at the Department of International Relations and Social Sciences of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (2013–2022).
In 2013, she wrote her first play Golden Leggings, and since then dramaturgy has become an important part of her life and artistic work.
Co-founder of the Playwrights’ Theatre, active participant in Worldwide Ukrainian Play Readings. Participant of the Jean-Jacques Rousseau Writers’ Residency at the Schloss Solitude Academy (Germany) and the Schauspiel Stuttgart residency (Germany).
Author of approximately 15 plays, which have had over 20 productions on the stages of Ukrainian and European theatres; her texts have been translated into ten languages.
