Palinchak Mykhailo
Mykhailo Palinchak was born in January 1985 in Uzhhorod. He lives and works in Kyiv. Graduated from the Institute of International Affairs of Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University (the Faculty of International Economics).
He began his career as a photographer in 2008. Since 2012, Palinchak is a member of Ukrainian Photographic Alternative (UPHA). In 2014-2019 he was the official photographer of the President of Ukraine. Palinchak is the founder of the Untitled platform, dedicated to Ukrainian photography, and a co-founder of the community named Ukrainian Street Photography, which provides the site for promotion, discussion and experience sharing in the field of street photography in Ukraine. Palinchak’s photographs are kept in private collections and collections of the Museum of Kharkiv School of Photography (Kharkiv, Ukraine), National Revolution of Dignity Museum (Kyiv, Ukraine), and Thessaloniki Museum of Photography (Thessaloniki, Greece).

Distinctions
Mykhailo Palinchak is the prizewinner of the 157 Royal Photographic Society exhibition (UK, 2014), photo contest of the Day newspaper (UA, 2016), and the all-Ukrainian Photographer of the Year contest in different nominations. He was awarded with gold medal for his reportage series in the News category, silver medal for a single photo in the Portrait category, and silver medal for his series in the Portrait category at LifePressPhoto international reportage photo contest.
