Olena Rybka
Olena Rybka was born on September 9, 1984, in the town of Berezivka in Kharkiv region. She studied at the Department of Ukrainian Language and Literature of the G. S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University. From 2007 to 2010, she worked on her dissertation research, titled "Hryhoriy Skovoroda in the Works of Ukrainian Writers of the Sixties", under the guidance of Professor Leonid Ushkalov. Olena is a member of the Kharkiv Historical and Philological Society. From 2011 to February 2017, she held the position of Deputy Director for Scientific Work at the National Literary and Memorial Museum of H. S. Skovoroda and hosted her own program, "Litrevyu" (2018–2019) on UA: Suspilne Radio in Kharkiv. Olena Rybka is a deputy editor-in-chief and the leading editor of children's literature at Vivat publishing house. Olena works with contemporary Ukrainian literature, literature for children and about children as well as promotes reading.
Bibliography
Her poems have been published in periodicals and collections such as "Dovzhynoyu v nich" ("As long as the night") and "Park Horkoho periodu" ("Horkyi Period Park"). In 2023, her works were translated into Polish.
She has worked on books by Ivan Andrusiak, Tamara Hundorova, Sashko Dermansky, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Vakhtang Kipiani, Halyna Kruk, Iryna Slavinska, Ostap Slyvynsky, Tetiana Trofymenko, and others. She compiled the book "I Transform... Diary of Occupation. Selected Poems" by Volodymyr Vakulenko-K.
