Born on 21 October 1953 in New York, he is Ukrainian and American writer.
He resides in New York, and teaches political science at Rutgers University in Newark. His research paper "Imperial Ends: The Decay, Collapse, and Revival of Empires" (2009) as well as a number of other academic and publicistic articles, especially in Krytyka and Zbruc, have been translated into Ukrainian.
