Krapyvenko Dmytro
Ukrainian journalist, editor-in-chief of the weekly "Ukrayins’kyi Tyzhden’". Dmytro was born on April 27, 1979 in Turkmenistan to a family of military servicemen. In 1996 he finished secondary school in Korosten’ (Zhytomyrska oblast, Ukraine). In 2001 graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Philology department).
In 2008 finished the "Digital Future of Journalism" program for media specialists of The Mohyla School of Journalism.
Dmytro is in journalism since 1999. He worked for "Kontrakty" ("Halyts’ki Kontrakty"), 1+1 Channel, and since 2011 has been working for "Ukrainskyi Tyzhden’". Since 2014 as an editor-in-chief. He is also the editor of the Ukrainian version of "The World in…" which "Ukrainskyi Tyzhden’" publishes annually under the license from The Economist.
Dmytro has publications in foreign media, including Lithuanian and Estonian media outlets.
Distinctions
- In April 2019, Krapyvenko was awarded the JFO Command Medal for Victory and Faithfulness.
