Ukrainian writer, scholar, translator, artist, illustrator.

Born on 4 June 1978 in Ternopil. Graduated from the School of Arts and the Faculty of Philology at Ternopil Pedagogical University. Got a PhD in the theory of literature in 2006 (dissertation on significant symbols and images as factors of style in symbolist poetry and prose based on the works of Petro Karmanskyi). In 2000-2002, worked as a teacher of Ukrainian language for international students at Ternopil medical academy. Has been employed as a copy editor, illustrator and marketing specialist at the NK-Bohdan Publishing House since 2003.

Ganna Osadko has illustrated over 70 fiction books, published 6 poetry and short story collections and 15 children’s books. As an artist, she works in different techniques such as graphics, collage, illustrations made of modeling clay and glass, and wool felting.

Gives master classes for children and adults, had several personal exhibitions (Bottle of Verses at Lviv Glass Museum (2010), Modeling Clay, Feather and Glass at the National Literature Museum of Ukraine (2012)).

In 2013, Ivan Andrusiak’s book Eight Days of Chipmunk’s Life ("Вісім днів із життя Бурундука") illustrated by Ganna Osadko was included in the prestigious annual White Ravens catalogue of the world’s best children’s books. The special attention among Ganna Osadko’s distinctions is deserved by the Blahovist Literary Prize for her book The Penguin Flipper ("Та, що перевертає пінгвінів", 2009), the 20th Lviv BookForum diploma for her children’s book The Puzzles Made of Modeling Clay ("Пластилінові загадки") and the All-Ukraine Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi Literary Prize for her book Simple Living ("Жити просто", 2018).
