Demchuk Serhii
Writer, journalist, soldier. Graduated as a Master of Pedagogics from the KROK University.
In 2008-2011, he worked as a correspondent in the city news department of a daily newspaper in Kyiv. After that, was a newsfeed editor at the Mirror Weekly (Dzerkalo Tyzhnia) newspaper. In 2012-2017, worked as a correspondent at magazines such as Krayina and Vzglyad. Was a department editor at the Krayina magazine until 2022, and the chief editor of the same magazine in 2022. Since 2203, headed the Tyzhden magazine until his very enlistment in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in May 2024.
Demchuk is one of the leading writers of contemporary Ukrainian literature. He authored such books as Offseason ("Міжсезоння", 2017), 12 Ounces of Love ("12 унцій любові", 2021), The Island of Jah ("Острів Джа", 2022), Your Eternal Winter ("Зима, яка назавжди з тобою", 2024) and short prose collection Shadows on the Stairs ("Тіні на сходах", 2023).
Since 2022, he had also worked as a press specialist at the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War and covered the issues of missing servicepeople and prisoners of war in Ukraine.

- Bearer of certificates of appreciation from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and Verkhovna Rada for his significant contribution into the work of intelligence and protection of the State during his work at the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War
- Prizewinner of the Svoya Polytsia Literary Award for genre literature (2024)
