Teren Tetyana

Born on July 25, 1986 in the village of Liutenski Budyshcha, Zinkiv district, Poltava region.

Journalist, cultural manager, and curator of literary projects and programs.

In 2018, graduated from the Department of Journalism of V. N. Karazin National University of Kharkiv. In 2025, started studieng at the MBA program of the Kyiv-Mohyla Business School.

Worked as a presenter of "Book Basket" TV show on Kharkiv TV channel "А/ТВК"; as an editor of literary magazine "Berezil"; on Channel 5 and "Ukrainska Pravda. Kultura" website. Contributed to such periodicals as "Ukraina Moloda", "Den", "Tyzhden", "Vysokyi Zamok", "Harper’s Bazaar Ukraine" etc.

Cooperated, as a curator, with "PinchukArtCentre", "Culture Project", and "Book Arsenal".

In 2017–2018, was the head of Ukrainian Book Institute.

In 2018-2025, worked as the first Executive Director of PEN Ukraine.

In this role, she initiated several cultural and human rights projects, including the George Gongadze Prize; Lace: Literary Readings in Ukrainian Towns; Approach: Meetings with Ukrainian Writers; the Focus Topics of Ukrainian PEN; From Skovoroda to the Present: 100 Iconic Works in Ukrainian; the Days of Essay Writing festival; the book series Library of PEN Ukraine; Here and Now: Stories of Journalists at War; Dialogues on War; PEN Ukraine Emergency Fund; People of Culture Taken Away By The War; REQviem: Memorial to Fallen Journalists; PEN Literary Volunteer Trips; Unbreakable Libraries; In Solidarity with Ukraine; and more.
